Local SEO That Turns Into Phone Calls
On-page work, content and links for the searches in your city that become customers — not vanity rankings.
What SEO is for
When someone in your city searches for what you do and clicks your organic listing, that click costs you nothing. Over time, SEO leads cost significantly less than paid leads. That’s the whole case for it.
The catch is time. Google needs to trust a site before it sends traffic, and trust is earned page by page over months — longer for a new domain. That’s why we run SEO alongside Google Ads for most clients: ads produce now, SEO lowers your cost per lead every year it runs.
What we do
On-page optimization. The visible content and the code behind it have to be easy for search engines to understand. For every page that matters — service pages, location pages, and the posts that support them — we handle the title tag, H1, URL slug, meta description, heading structure, schema markup, image optimization and internal linking. The title tag, H1 and slug do most of the work; the rest keeps the page clean.
Content. Pages rank when they’re the best answer to a search. We start from your own data — which pages already draw visitors and conversions — and from what your competitors rank for, then build an outline and a publishing schedule. The content is written for the customer first and structured for Google second.
Links. Links from relevant, quality sites are votes for your content and remain a major ranking factor. We earn them through outreach; we never buy them. How we build links →
How it works for a local business
The strategy for a local business is the same as for anyone else — it’s just more specific. What works:
- A page for every service you offer, optimized for that service in your market.
- A page for every area you serve, so you show up for “near me” searches across your territory.
- Document your jobs. Photos, before-and-afters, short write-ups of the work you did and where. It’s great information for customers, great signal for Google, and your competitors almost never do it.
We start with an audit: what’s ranking, for what, what your incoming links look like, where the gaps are. From that comes a written plan, and then the monthly work.
What we measure
Ranking #1 for your own business name isn’t a win. Neither is ranking for terms nobody searches. Our reporting tracks the keywords that move the needle — the ones that turn into calls — and the calls themselves. Every lead is tracked, so you can see which pages are producing.
Frequently asked questions
Does Google charge for SEO?
No. Google doesn't charge for SEO or offer SEO services, and you can't pay Google to rank higher in organic results. Google Ads puts your ad above the organic results, but running ads has no effect on how your pages rank.
Is SEO free?
Yes and no. A click on your organic listing costs nothing. Doing SEO properly — keyword research, content, optimization — takes real time and effort, especially up front. Done right, the effects last for years.
Why does SEO take so long?
Google has to trust your website before it sends traffic, and that takes time — many months for a brand-new site. As Google evaluates your content and how visitors behave on your pages, trust builds gradually and traffic follows.
What's the difference between SEO and Google Ads?
Both appear on the results page — ads at the top and bottom, organic listings in between. A click on an ad costs you money; a click on your organic listing doesn't. We recommend both: ads for immediate leads, SEO for a lower cost per lead over time.
Do all pages on my site need on-page SEO?
No. Optimize the pages you want to rank — service pages, location pages, and the posts that support them. Pages like contact and privacy policy don't need it.
What are the most important on-page SEO factors?
Your title tag, your H1 and your URL slug.
